Total Productive Maintenance

TPM is a powerful methodology to improve the production environment. It constitutes 8 pillars out of which 3 are around equipment maintenance. These focus on maintenance by operators, maintenance by the maintenance team, and developing equipment that requires no maintenance and no modification after purchase. Improving overall equipment effectiveness by focused maintenance, developing a healthy & safe environment, and making the administrative system effective is the benefit of this drive.

How Do We Do?

• Follows a 12 step methodology
• Communication of the TPM launch by top management, Set the TPM committee and master plan
• Educate, spread awareness about the TPM, and set the TPM Policy and Goals.
• Kick off the TPM involving all employee
• Select a model machine/ line/area and develop that by applying TPM to demonstrate the benefit
• Forming Pillars and developing a plan for each step as suggested by Japan Institute of Planned Maintenance (JIPM)
• Proceed for certification by JIPM
