The complexity involved in documenting a process is seldom understood. This results in processes not contributing adequately to the improvement of organizational performance. Developing a process is far more than just documentation and require considering objective, the complexity of the operation, competency of people, interface with other departments, the risk involved, etc.
How Do We Do?
- Define “As-Is” process, identify challenges in terms of adherence, measurement, VA/ NVA activities, risks, control, etc.
- Define the To-Be process and bridge the gap
- Identify the key performance indicators, responsibility, input-output, and references to third-level documents
- Develop the process, discuss with process owner and all stakeholders to finalize
- Support implementation and IT integration
- Conduct a periodic audit and improve the process
